The intensity arises so early it’s frightening

So full of desire, and promising hope
Happiness forms, addictive as dope.
Answers come as time progress
Extremely euphoric, I must confess.

The possibility of being hurt, crushed and destroyed
Is one that I am unable to completely avoid…
And although this stands I am willing to stay
